UPDATED PROTOCOLS

As information and procedures about COVID-19 are evolving daily, I will be using this page and my website to update you.

I will also provide you with with helpful tools, resources and practices to help you and your loved ones thrive during a time of uncertainty.

MY THERAPY PRACTICE

CURRENT STATUS

 

 

As of Sunday, March 22, 2020:

  • I am seeing clients in person in my office. What does this mean?
    • I will continue to practice social distancing by sitting a minimum of 6 feet from clients.
    • I will open all doors in and out of my office so as to limit contact.
    • I will sanitize my office chairs, couches, door handles, etc. between each client session.
    • I can come out into our building lobby, rather than our office lobby if you prefer to be waiting/walking around there to keep social distancing.
    • I do not require a mask in session, but will wear one if you prefer.
    • I have also been fully vaccinated since the Spring of 2021, but do not require people to be vaccinated to see me in therapy. 
  • I am seeing clients via video session. What does this mean?
    • I am using the HIPPA Secure Simple Practice video session tool. This tool is very easy to use. I will send you a link to click on before session. It is super simple. Here is a link explaining this tool.
    • I will also be flexible in helping clients access what is easiest to them, whether that is Skype, FaceTime, etc. Just know that these video sessions are not HIPPA approved.
  • I am doing phone sessions with clients.
    • I will simply call you at the time of our session.

During a time of uncertainty it is important to be flexible, but also provide structure. So I will do my best to accommodate one’s needs whether that be in person, via video, or phone. Just stay tuned for evolving updates.

Step Two

Schedule An Appointment

ONLINE SCHEDULING (NEW & CURRENT CLIENTS)
NEW CLIENTS

First, check out the answers to some of the most common questions I get about counseling and working with me.

Second, contact my assistant Meagan at 469-304-9022 or email below. Meagan is great and will help you through every step of the process. If you get a voicemail, please leave your name and phone number and she will call you back the same business day.

Third, when you make the decision to work with me, Meagan will send you a welcome email with some basic information about my practice, as well as a link for our online forms that need to be filled out prior to the first session.

Fourth, Meagan will schedule and confirm the date (and any other dates you want to schedule) for your initial Intake Session. You can also schedule online.

Office Hours

  • Tuesday: 9am—5pm
  • Wednesday: 8am–12pm
  • Thursday: 7am—3pm

Fifth, when you arrive at my office, make yourself comfortable, and I will come out to get you at our scheduled time. There is no need to let anyone know that you have arrived, or sign in.

Sixth, we do not make reminder calls, so please let us know 24 business hours in advance if you have to cancel or reschedule your initial appointment. Late cancellations and no shows will be charged the full Intake session amount.

CURRENT OR RETURNING CLIENTS

First, call Meagan at 469-304-9022 or email her below and she will help you through the process. If you get a voicemail, please leave your name and number, and she will return your call the same business day.

Second, Meagan will help you find and confirm the dates and times for your sessions. You can also schedule online.

VIDEO OR PHONE SESSIONS

If you desire to conduct your sessions via video or phone, please let me know. Often people prefer these sessions to in person because it allows them more flexibility in their day to day schedule, as well as when they are traveling. You can schedule online.

Step Three

Fill Out Paperwork

All paperwork needs to be done 24 hours in advance of your first session. Paperwork is done online through the HIPPA secure documents at Simple Practice. My assistant Meagan will set you up in our program and email you the link to fill out all our paperwork. If you prefer paper intake forms, please let Meagan know and she can email you the forms.

The building is south of Park Blvd, between Preston and Ohio. When you arrive in the building’s lobby, take either the staircase or elevator to our suite located on the 2nd floor. When you arrive in our lobby, please have a seat, make yourself comfortable, and I will be out to get you at your scheduled session time.
