Therapy

engaging our struggles as opportunities for growth

We have referred people to Rhett Smith for many years now. We know that we will get compassionate, educated and experienced counsel for our people.
It’s been great to hear so many people talk about the change that has come to their lives as they deal with their pain in an easy to understand and an easy to implement plan of help and care. Personally, Rhett has meant the world to me and has been a massive part of my journey to health and wholeness. With the greatest confidence, I believe Rhett too can be a great resource in your journey to be the kind of person you want to be as you relate to yourself and to the world in which you interact.

Step One

What Can I Help You With?

I work with Individuals and Couples.

I offer video or phone sessions for those who can not attend in person.

Though people come to me with a variety of challenges that I help them work through, my areas of specialty are Relationships, Mental Health (anxiety, depression, etc.) and Performance (mindset, goal setting, athletic performance, etc.). Anxiety issues are probably the primary reason people come to work with me.

What you can gain in working with me:

  • Identify the connection between your underlying emotions (root issues) and negative actions.
  • Identify the  connection between your truth/true self and positive actions.
  • Reframe your struggles as an opportunity for growth. How do these struggles help inform you of what you need to pay attention to?
  • Create exercises that help you foster awareness and put into practice the insight you have gained, in order to create more permanent change.
  • Provide you with tools that will help you practice, manage, and actively work through your struggles.
  • Develop an applicable plan for ongoing growth in your life.
  • A focus on attachment, emotional regulation, mindfulness and skills practice.
