Vulnerability is one of the major themes that has emerged over the last 18 years in my work with men.

Many men want intimate connection with others, but fear being vulnerable.

But the reality is, one cannot experience connection without vulnerability.

This becomes a huge challenge for men who are taught from an early age that being vulnerable is not safe.

In fact, Brene Brown in this well-known TED talk discusses the need for “excruciating vulnerability” in our relationships if we are to experience connection.
