My new Amazon Kindle

Okay, so this isn’t a professional presentation by any means.  But just wanted to give you a look in less than 90 seconds at the Amazon Kindle I got for Father’s Day.

And what I can’t convey by video, just let me say it’s amazing.  It looks like I’m reading a real book, and feels like one too.  Looking forward to downsizing my physical library and adding more books to the Kindle.

    Nice overview.

Is there an option to not have the text flush left ‘and’ right? I would think that would get annoying to the eyes, especially with larger text sizes.

Jealous. My only beef is that the screen is pretty boring. No different than a book obviously but I think before it becomes a must have item they need to make that interface stand out more.

Still figuring out all the options, etc, so not sure about the text being flush.

Yeah, the interface is pretty boring, but I think that’s why I like it. I think it reminds me of a book that way, and not a computer.

I’ve only had it a few days, so I will see how it goes. So far I’m impressed though and I only think it will get better.

I just really wanted to get rid of some books, shelves, packing boxes, etc. It’s just a pain to move them from place to place…take up lots of space.

But with this, I can have like 250 books on the Kindle, and more if I add an SD disk, etc.

I also like the collaborative tools…bookmarking, adding notes, sharing it with others, etc.

Not bad, but the next step is gotta be a highlighter feature that lets you write in the book, not type, write. That’s the one thing I love about books – I can take out a pen or highlighter and physically jot a note down.

I’ve been in the market for something like the Kindle. My tablet pc is a bit big and you have to boot it up. I am now using my OLD dell Axim 3x. It’s small, but already paid for.

The kindle looks good though and I look forward to hearing what you have to say as times go by. Thanks for the video.
