Flock: A Browser on Steroids

Everytime I think I am advanced with the Web 2.0/New Media stuff, I realize I’m not. I usually realize it after reading one of Andrew Jones‘ posts.

Take yesterday’s post for example.

His spring cleaning led to my anxiety. But don’t worry Andrew, it was good anxiety.

Because out of that came the social web browser Flock.

I never thought I would stop using Firefox as my default browser until I came across Flock on Andrew’s post.

I downloaded it and was instantly hooked. It was like browsing on steroids, and once I had my feeds from Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, blog, etc. all streaming at once, my head almost exploded. Wow!

Crazy. I tried Flock like two years ago and wasn’t too impressed. I’m guessing it has progressed since then…

    Hey Rhett,

Thanks for the kind post about Flock! You rock, keep on spreading the word!

@Jon: We’ve made a number of changes since two years ago, it’s a very different, very stable, very awesome browser. :)

I saw Andrews post but didn’t decide to download until your recommendation. Downloading it now with my slow hotel room browser. Funny I actually still use Safari as my default browser. But, about once a week safari won’t allow me to log into facebook but I can with firefox. I like firefox just haven’t had a huge need to leave safari. Looking forward to checking out flock.

Hey side note. I like the feature on your blog now where you can share the info. Is that new? I don’t remember seeing a “SHARE THIS” button before
